It's 5:20 and I have just got back from my lovely 3 days away. If you don't already know every time I come home from a holiday I am instantly on the laptop writing about it. Normally I tell you the basics about my holiday in a short paragraph and insert pictures but today I decided to change it up a bit. In todays post I will be telling you what I did in detail. Have you been on holiday recently?
Unforchantly I didn't take any pictures of Harrogate but that's where we went on the first day. As soon as we got there we were on the hunt for food because the time was creeping up on us. You see it had taken us longer than intended to make the trip up. Me and my dad are into art quite a bit therefor we went to the art gallery. We also strolled around the magical park and visited some little gift shops. After a few hours we were getting tired because we had been travelling all day. So we decided to head to the hotel. The hotel was so quite and comfy. Later that night we went down to Wetherby.
On the second day away we went to visit Leeds. If you are not familiar with Leeds, its a small city in Yorkshire. It was so pretty, cold but pretty. The first thing we did was wonder up and down the arcades. The arcades were full of architecture. They had amazing fancy designs printed or should I say painted on the tilled glass ceiling.

There was millions of arcades, thousands of shops and hundreds of old buildings. I even came across some shops that I thought only existed in America. That was so exciting because I had always wanted to go into American shops. Haven't you?
The café and corn exchange. |
After we had investigated the city, we went to a what used to be a corn exchange. It was so cute, it was all very unique and interesting. It was around 11am and so we decided to get a drink from the café. I ordered a hot chocolate with froth and marshmallows. The man brought it to me and warned me it was very full, but being the clumsy person I am, I managed to spill about 1/4 of it. Luckily it wasn't very busy so it wasn't that embarrassing, I was horrified though because it got all over my new handbag. Typical! After Leeds we went to Knaresborough.
On our last day, we went to a sculptor park. Lets just say, you have your own opinion. We arrived at the park around 10am. The weather had been patchy all morning and luckily we were in the dry part. We scoured the park and came across a door that took us into a wooden room, in there we had to put little bags over our shoes. We then found out that we were about enter an old apartment that was made out of crystals with acid and science stuff. We had walked around quite a bit of the park when it started to drizzle but by that time we were hungry and had enough of walking. We headed back to the café and I had a sausage sandwich.

Remember to follow me on
It looks as though you had a great holiday! You definitely saw some beautiful sights :) It's a shame about your handbag, but at least you didn't spill on yourself! That could have been painful. And super unpleasant ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a piece of your trip :)
