There are many perks of being a blogger but many dramatic moments. The time that blogging is most dramatic and I think other bloggers will agree, is when the arrangements of your flat lay and your editing doesn't go to plan. That can be so stressful. So in this post I am hopefully going to help you out and make life as a blogger a lot easier.
Setting up
Finding the right background, is probably the hardest thing to do in preparation to actually take the picture. I find that a lot of bloggers, myself included, use marble as the background. I shall let you into one of my secrets and that is that I don't actually have anything marble in my house. Unless it is in the bathroom and the bathroom isn't bright enough to take a blog picture in. However I have found ways around this problem. Such as buying marble sticky back plastic. I bought mine from wilko.
When you have your base (background) sorted, you want to start to get your products ready. Always think about, what blog post you are doing. For example, Red Lip. You would want to get all your favourite red lipsticks, not mascara or blusher because that's nothing to do with the post. However this doesn't mean you can't add them in as props.
Getting the right time of day. This can be so frustrating because here in the UK it's mostly miserable. So whenever I take my pictures they are dark. However I feel like my house is the brightest at midday, I don't know why, it just is. So 12pm is around the time I take my pictures.
Camera Work
There are so many settings on my camera, that I never know what to go with. I usually mix them around a bit, for example take one picture on macro and an other on normal. This is so when it comes to editing, it is easier and quicker. I also like to brighten up my camera. I am not sure if all cameras have this luxury but if they do I would defiantly recommend it. It really does brighten up the picture and make it better quality. I haven't used this for tip for a while because my camera reset but I shall be using this again.
Editing
The last step is editing. Editing is, I wouldn't say hard, but it defiantly isn't easy. There are so many things you need to use to get to the right brightness and quality of your photo. What do you start with?
There are quite a few editing software out there but I always have stuck to pic monkey or fotor. These two editing programs are free to use and have everything you need. I like to start of by using the Auto Adjust this just puts a natural effect onto the picture. Then I like to turn up the Brightness. Not by a lot just so that it fits with the rest of my pictures. I like to use the highlight because it helps to brighten the picture and add a bit more clarification. This is all that I really do to the pictures. I then save it them and put them in the blog post.
What are your tips?

I've been looking into a new background, I was thinking about maybe a white fur blanket but a marble slat sounds good too! Great tips, I use Instagram to edit my pictures x

Instagram does have a pretty good range of editing equipment. I think a fluffy blanket sounds like a good idea as well.

Thank you. I wold defiantly recommend a background, it does defiantly change the quality of your picture, not as much camera quality but the quality of the layout.
