I love the seaside. I have always loved the seaside, the breeze blowing on your face and your toes merging in the sand. It just makes me happy. Seen as there has been a lack of good weather here in England, this trip may have been my only trip to the beach for the next 6 weeks. I hope not, that would be really depressing. So as soon as the sun peeped through the clouds, we took the opportunity to finally go to the beach. I haven't got that many pictures because I really just wanted to relax and have a good time. Which I did but I did manage to get a few snaps along the way.
West Kirby is a seaside town near Liverpool, so ruffly North West of England. Me and my family usually go to Kirby around once a year and I must say I always love it, it never seems to disappoint. I love the beach it's massive and beautiful. As well as a beach there is a beautiful, calming marina. I really like this marina because it looks like you are floating on water, if you look from the other side of the marina anyway. It's hard to explain but if you have ever been you have probably had the same experience.
Walking around the marina is amazing, on one side you have the boats sailing and then on the other the sand and sea. It's incredible. It is also a fairly long walk, I find this lovely on those hot summer days.
When you walk around the marina, you will come across this little pier, on the end of the pier there is a box. If you look carefully you can see the worlds LOVE on the metal box. That's where I got this picture from.
Kirby, like most beaches, a lot of wind. So this makes perfect opportunity to fly a kite. There was a really small family of four flying this kite. The dad looked like he was flying it but I think the little boy was, either way they had it up for quite a while, which is amazing because anytime I used to fly a kite it would come down in 2 seconds. I blame that on the wind though.
You can just about see in the distance the path I was on about.
The tide was out when we visited the beach. Many children were playing on the beach and these two managed to get into the frame of the camera at the perfect time. This was just one of those pictures that happened but were not planned. After we visited the beach we went to the cafe to get something to eat. I had a bacon rap and a fruit tub. It was pretty hot so having a fruit pot was nice and refreshing. I never took a picture of my Ice cream but I did have an Ice cream. It was delicious.
We had a look around the town and then started to head back. Kirby is a very small town and so there isn't many things to do but I love it anyway. When we started to head back, we came across a takeaway fish and chip shop. Is it just me or do you always want some sort of takeaway when your at the beach? So we sat on a bench looking down onto the beach whilst I ate my chips.
I hope you enjoyed this post, sorry there wasn't many pictures. I hope you enjoyed it anyway.
