When I was first starting out as a blogger, I honestly didn't know how to write a blog post or how to add links. The most simple things now where the hardest things back then. It can be really frustrating and can take a really long time to find a solution. I am hoping that these are at least a little useful.
1. Changing the quality of your pictures.
I think this is something everyone struggles with, great quality picture but just looks awful on blogger. Now, I am totally for great clear pictures but that really never happens for me when using blogger. I know that I am not the only one that struggles with this problem so I was so happy when I found out this tip.
Choose your blog post
Then click on HTML
Find the line that says
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-wfBNsJ9MFKsG57-bEsMcljXJ1azi5NiSRD_324CB0BFFtVjo15foKg6NATs4juneX7wWqEF2HBMLfPgVGxj7qgpTEcJSq0XKXRp1_-HSaAe_-gro9eAId3AL1g7DKBtmtg0ss7rNyr8/s1600/DSC_0003.JPG" imageanchor="1"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrNvcv8E92HIr3ZtbYViI0D-4hSA5bvZNbKiDI38ys41c6wdrxAj8T2gTXVyF-WwquBQSqC1rC4rzaHz6a2Dcg0UuZfV1B3PkgxqF5H6a4fI1ksl6jbXC4gJsSh8bfj_qufAR1v2SEo78/s1600/DSC_0003.JPG" width="800" /> </a>
When you have find this look for the "width" this is coloured in green. Go across that line and find the /s__?___/. This is coloured in blue. The main options in the /s__?___/ are : s320, s640 and s1600.
If your number isn't s1600 change it to s1600. This will make the quality of the picture better. You can also adjust the picture to original size.
2. Labels
I have only just recently started adding labels, I never really used them because I didn't really see the point. The labels are just an easy way for people to find your blog post. However they can be used for other things such as putting your blog posts into categories. This isn't really a useful tip but I thought it would just be nice to know what they do.
3. Knowing your formula
Knowing your formula is something that I say to often. You need to know what you are talking about before you post. Its so important that you research or at least have had some experience in that genre or else readers will not subscribe or carry on reading your blog.
4. Backgrounds
I always have and still do struggle with backgrounds for my blog. Its so hard to find something that actually looks really nice behind all the products. In my opinion you don't want something to busy. It can just make the picture look clustery and messy. I would advice new bloggers to go for something along the lines of marble or wood. I use marble and a sort of white ruff background. If you would like to buy the marble click here. I made the white background so you cant buy that. If your on a budget you could go for something like a peace of nice lace clothing.

5. Lighting
I can not begin to explain how important lighting is for blog pictures. I have got to admit I am not the best at getting good lighting but it is important. I try my hardest and I am thinking about getting a studio light in the future. I recommend taking your pictures outside or in a conservatory. The lighting is always better there because it is natural. Never take your pictures with a normal light, this will only make them look yellow.
6. Introduction paragraph
Arhhh! I never ever know what to write for introduction paragraphs. It is my least favourite thing about blogging. I have 2 tips for introductions:
1. Get to the point.
Don't go on and on and on about nothing to do with the post, this is probably the most annoying thing a blogger can do. In my opinion anyway.
2. Make it obvious
Make the introduction obvious to what you are going to talk about. Introduce the post. This is what the intro is for but some people just use it to update people about what is going on in their lives.
I have been so happy with the results of my blog posts recently and I have loved collecting my favourite tips and making this post. I hope that you have enjoyed it. It was so fun to make.
